Free Double-Decker Bus will Operate on ERP Lanes

The free double-decker bus is prioritized to carry office workers who moved from personal vehicle

Jakarta Provincial Government is going to provide 100 free double-decker buses on the lane of the Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) in the capital. In contrast to the double-decker tour bus, these free buses are designed bigger and has more capacity than double-decker tour bus.

PT Transjakarta Director, Antonius NS Kosasih expressed the bus will operate on the ERP lanes. "The bus capacity is larger or can carry 140 people than double-decker tour bus," he stated, Thursday (10/9).

He furthered such free double-decker bus is equipped with hanger facility as same as Transjakarta bus. Unfortunately, it does not yet installed on the double-decker tour bus.

"The free double-decker bus is prioritized to carry office workers who moved from personal vehicle," he explained.

Kosasih hoped those 100 buses could arrive and serve people once every 7-10 minutes in the bus stop.

"From Senayan Roundabout-HI Roundabout, will be divided into three loops. From Senayan Roundabout-Semanggi will be back to Senayan. Then Semanggi-HI Roundabout will re-directed to Semanggi. If the loop is abundant, people do not have to wait long," he finished.
